Effective April 1, 2026, due to an organizational restructuring within the Research Organization of Information and Systems (ROIS), the Database Center for Life Science (DBCLS), formerly part of the Joint Support-Center for Data Science Research, has been reorganized as the Database Division for Life Science (DBCLS) under the BioData Science Initiative (BSI), National Institute of Genetics (NIG).

With this change, DBCLS will continue its activities as BSI, promoting data integration in the life sciences, as well as the development and operation of databases and related technologies.

All services previously provided by DBCLS will, in principle, continue to be available.

We will continue to contribute to the development and advancement of data infrastructure in the life sciences, and we sincerely appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
