History

Integrated Database Project was launched as one of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) projects.

Database Center for Life Science (DBCLS) was established and lead the Integrated Database Project as a core institute.

BioHackathon (NBDC/DBCLS BioHackathon) started.

Director: Prof. Akinori Yonezawa

National Bioscience Database Center (NBDC) was established at Japan

Science and Technology Agency (JST) and took over the responsibility and several products of the project.

DBCLS started Basic Technology Development Program with NBDC.

Director: Prof. Yuji Kohara

DBCLS office was moved from Univ Tokyo Asano Campus to two locations namely Univ Tokyo Kashiwa-no-ha Campus Station Satellite in Kashiwa, Chiba and National Institute of Genetics in Mishima.

New collaborative research with NBDC "Basic Technology Development and Database Operation for Integrated Database System" started.

Joint Support-Center for Data Science (DS) was established in ROIS. DBCLS joined as one of five centers in DS.
